My gods, what kind of high strung world are we living in when a quote like THIS causes such reaction?
a view from the "right": personally, i dont find his quote "offensive". where i might think most of what he said is a steaming pile of, um, nonsense, it doesnt offend me. hey, its a free country, say what you want. the pope/dixie chicks comment was funny, and there will always be plenty of opportunities to take funny jabs at whoever is in office, regardless of their political affiliation.

Long time no post! I agree. People should realize that mass-media opened the door to sensationalism along time ago. Once the balls starts rolling, it can't be stopped. People shouldn't get upset over public statements anymore. It's just par for the course.

Michael probably is a self-serving individual who intentionally serves up a tailored image to the public, and isn't that bothered about what distortions to facts he has to make to do so. Or is the George?

Apparently people do care look at the response that it has gotten on this forum alone, dont any of you think that is exactly what he was trying to acheive?
So I found this link about the Micheal Moore comments comparing the ABC live broadcast and then the CNN re-broadcast. Sounds to me that the CNN version was doctored.

It seems that someone has manipulated the audio to give the impression there was constant loud "booing" throughout Moore's speech, when in reality, there was only marginal booing often overridden with cheers and applause.
Apparently someone at the BBC and RTE did exactly the same thing as I heard loud booing on both of their broadcasts, although their motives are harder to discern.
Xander, another source said that those who booed Moore were being booed at the same time and that's why people heard lots of booing.

RandomTask Michael Morre isn't a socialist. He has stated many time that he thinks Ralph Nader should be President. So that would make him a green/independent.
