    Elizabeth Smart
    (and the Not-So-Smarts)

Brian David Mitchell abducted Elizabeth Smart. False prophets like
Mitchell are generally clever, but never wise! "Professing themselves to
be wise, they became fools." (Romans 1:22)

BRIAN DAVID MITCHELL was NOT-SO-SMART to claim to be deity!

Mitchell claims to be Emmanuel or God with us. We should ask, is
self-exaltation to godhood anything new to the Mormon faith? Joseph Smith
claimed, ".you have got to learn to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings
and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you namely by
going from one small degree to another from grace to grace, from
exaltation to exaltation." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p.345)
The Mormon Jesus is an imposter, a polygamist with children, one god
among many, nothing really special! (2 Corinthians 11:4) Neither is Brian
    David Mitchell or Joseph Smith!

The media of Salt Lake City said Mitchell sounds like a "Christian" or
like "an Old Testament prophet." No, he looks like a Muslim and lives
like Joseph Smith. Just as many evangelists on the Trinity Broadcasting
Network leave Christian doctrine, Mitchell strayed from his modern-day
Mormonism. Is Mitchell really a "religious fanatic" while claiming to be
a "prophet of god" or merely the product of Mormon teaching, feeling
called by his god to be another living prophet? The LDS Mormon Church can
only have one "living prophet" at a time, Gordon B. Hinckley, so they
obviously don't like Brian David Mitchell.

In Christianity, God (the Lord Jesus) became a man! In Mormonism, men are
allegedly becoming gods, and yet no one can even create a single seed!
How can the Mormons who are confused about such an elementary
understanding of the Bible call themselves "Christians" or "born again"?
When you hear "god" or "Jesus" in a Mormon news conference, know that
their god or Jesus is not the God or Jesus of the Bible! A true Christian
wrote, "How about a letter to the editor letting everyone know that even
though this Mitchell guy was mouthing the words 'born again' he certainly
wasn't espousing the truth.the real born again people were praying for
Elizabeth's safe return!" Yes, I agree that people should write!

BRIAN DAVID MITCHELL was NOT-SO-SMART in his polygamy practices!

Mitchell kidnapped and "married" 14 year old Elizabeth Smart! But is that
so strange in Mormonism? Joseph Smith took 14 year old Helen Kimball as
one of his polygamous wives! Americans were as disgusted and abhorred
with him as the nation is today with Mitchell! Smith's wives also
included an orphan, five pairs of sisters, a mother and daughter, and the
wives of other men, and that while he was publicly lying about his
polygamous practices! (Documented in the websites below) He sealed men to
men and even sealed J.M. Bernhisel to his own sister to have sex with her
forever! Joseph Smith fabricated a very male-centered, sexist church!

Mitchell broke the law so he is behind bars today on a 10 million-dollar
bail. Smith broke the February 12, 1833 law of Illinois and landed in the
Carthage Jail. (Revised Laws of Illinois, Vandalia: Greiner & Sherman,
1833, p.198-199) He was no martyr! Smith died in an old west type
gunfight, killing two men before being killed! Martyr Stephen did not
throw stones back! From Nauvoo to Salt Lake City, sexual perpetrators and
false prophets leave a long legacy of abuse and an amazing audience to
    deceive!

Mitchell's Mormonism simply mirrored his mentor's! Joseph Smith declared
the everlasting covenant in Nauvoo, Illinois, on July 12, 1843. See
History of the Church 5:501-7 and Doctrine and Covenants section 132:1-4
"Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you my servant Joseph.as touching the
principle and doctrine of their having many wives and concubines.a new
and an everlasting covenant; and if ye abide not in that covenant, then
    are ye damned..."

Read the shocking facts about the awful seductions of Joseph Smith (many
of the books were even carefully written and documented by Mormon
    authors) at:

BRIAN DAVID MITCHELL was NOT-SO-SMART about claiming to be a
    prophet!

Mitchell claims to be a prophet but is that so strange within Mormonism?
Joseph Smith was the first in the long line of Mormon "prophets". Test
Joseph Smith as being a prophet while letting Scripture have the last
Word! Jesus warned, "Beware of false prophets...Ye shall know them by
their fruits!" (Matthew 7:15-16) Clearly any nice religious people do not
identify a one right church. The "fruit" of false prophets is what? It
has to be their false prophecies! Like grapevines produce grapes, true
prophets produce true prophecies! Where is God's definition to identify
them? Deuteronomy 18:20-22 identifies the prophetic impostors!

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name"
Question: How many words does it take to condemn these deceivers? Whose
    authority are they claiming?

"which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name
of other gods, even that prophet shall die"
Question: Do we read: Let them readjust their figures? Forget the past?
Give another chance? Listen again? We all make mistakes? Wait and see for
harm? - No, the censuring of false prophets is vital and it is certain!

"And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the
    LORD hath not spoken?"
Good question! The Word of God answers this for you,

"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow
    not, nor come to pass"
Question: What prophesies of Joseph Smith or Brian David Mitchell ever
came to pass? Has the present LDS "living prophet" ever made a single
    prophecy?

"that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken but the prophet hath
    spoken it presumptuously"
Question: When did God really speak through prophets? In times "past" not
today! (Hebrews 1:1) Beware of any groups claiming to speak prophecies
because they will one day fail and fall to condemnation! Rather obey God
and stick to the only sure Word of prophecy which is the Bible! (2 Peter
    1:19)

"thou shalt not be afraid of him."
Question: How should we respond to their scare tactics? Christians
waiting for Jesus to come must never follow false prophets, like Joseph
Smith who set the dates for the return of Christ! See:
    http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/mormons.htm
    http://www.bcmmin.org/falsprop.html

Little Mormon children stand in their wards to bear testimony that they
know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. That is nothing but a
pure cultic Mormon brainwashing! They cannot know! Brian David Mitchell
and other Mormon cults bear their testimonies too! Dear friend, when you
see false prophets on every corner take heart, as you can expect the Lord
Jesus to be coming one day soon!

THE DECEIVERS AND THE DECEIVED are NOT-SO-SMART to base their
    destinies
    upon manmade religions!

For the Elizabeth Smart case, expect a "gag rule", because the more we
learn about the excommunicated Brian David Mitchell and his teachings,
the more it exposes the deviant practices of Joseph Smith and the
doctrines of the Mormon Church! How can the LDS following Joseph Smith
blame Brian David Mitchell for his god supposedly telling him to do
something? The bigger difference is when Joseph Smith palmed his devil's
lies, they endured to deceive millions of precious Mormon people!
MILLIONS to be cast into outer darkness and miss God's Heaven for all of
    eternity!

It is NOT-TOO-SMART to follow false prophets, false books, or false
churches! Joseph Smith was a false prophet and the Book of Mormon, the
Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price are false books,
which sweeps the foundation for the existence of the LDS church right
    into the theological ash can!

Last Easter my wife visited a Mormon church and the message was all about
gardening and finances; no word of the resurrection and no focus upon
Jesus Christ! So what if their church bears His name? They have really
missed the real Jesus! Christian friend, weep and pray for dear Mormon
souls to heed His tender invitation, to lay their burdens down at the
foot of the cross where Jesus finished the work of redemption! In three
days He arose in power and with the sweet invitation to save the lost!

Mormon friend, we love you! Won't you respond as Jesus says, "Come unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
(Matthew 11:28) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12) Friend, it won't be Joseph Smith or Brian David Mitchell
sitting upon the throne! The Name you need to trust is the precious name
    of the Lord Jesus Christ!

    Abaddon,

These mormon ans pseudomormon cultic leaders point to Christ and the bible as their authority. They make false prophecies in that name and deviate from what is taught by both. Scorpion is not basing his assertion on the fact that they say certain things alone but that they deviate from the very authority they claim to be acting under which many of us believe in. The bible prophecied about that. Scorpion is not being the pot in this case. Your arguement is invalid.

According to SL Tribune, March 18, 2003, Brian David Mitchell, or "Immanuel", was, until a few years ago, a high councilman in the Center SL Stake, he also was a former couselor in a bishopric, and both he and his wife, Wanda, were temple workers, and not only that, but an LDS Mission President, Dru White, had asked him to be one of his counselors in Mission presidency in 1995... Mitchell also was an employee of O.C. Tanner (an LDS member owned), a high-class jewelry store in SLC, just across the street from LDS church administration building. But then he started to get "revelations from God" - and he was told that he is now a new "restorer of truth"
    (comp. Joseph Smith's similar claims).

With this "restoration", of course, came command (read D&C 132) to marry young girls, just like Joseph Smith, who also threatened young girls that something terrible was going to happen to them or their families if they did not "marry" him. The Mormon public in SLC, and media all over the world, say that Mitcehll is nuts. I agree. But, what puzzles me, is that they do not see that their "prophet" Joseph Smith had done and said exactly the same things, but he was not declared crazy, but "a true prophet of God"! Is this because of a sort memory - or is it because of a brain freeze - or something else?

Joseph Smith started his religion with God speaking to him about restoration and then giving him special commands to marry 14-year olds, etc. What is different in this picture? I cannot help but see the same delusional ideas coming from men lusting after young girls - and more and more... "seven virgins" seems to be the norm, a desire by Smith's true followers, and of course they also have to have "them keys" for authority...Mitchell talks about those "keys" too...

    starScream;

If I have to explain that a Christian attacking another religion's prophet on the grounds that "they cannot know" he was a "true prophet of god" is funny, as the person attcking cannot prove what Jesus was or whether Jesus was, then there's no point having a discussion.

If I have to explain that someone saying "you can expect the Lord Jesus to be coming one day soon" whilst talking about "false prophets" and even quoting Matthew 7:15-16 (when by the scripture thay are quoting they are equally false), is absolutely hilarious, then there's no point having a dscussion.

If you cannot see those things, you need to develop a critical thinking ability, as an inability to analyse what people say, and spot inherant contradiction or illogicities, means you are vulnerable to religious predators, who will pray upon your uncritical accepting nature for their own benefit.

It's not quite the same thing Abaddon. Mormons do not claim to be another religion. They claim to be Christian and based on the bible.

then there's no point having a dscussion.

I don't think that we are trying to have a discussion. We already know that you think we are stupid for having faith, Abaddon. our situation is however different than that of the JWs or Mormons. If you cannot see that than you need to develop some critical thinking ability yourself.

If you cannot see those things, you need to develop a critical thinking ability, as an inability to analyse what people say, and spot inherant contradiction or illogicities, means you are vulnerable to religious predators, who will pray upon your uncritical accepting nature for their own benefit.

I would respond to that but there are too many errors to make sense of what you are saying exactly.

I will just tell you my experience and let you be the Judge since you are so eager to judge me as naive. I studied with the Mormons when I was an Atheist. Yes I was a die-hard never surrender atheist. You could not defeat my atheist argument. Anyway, the Mormons wanted me to accept their book of Mormon and read a bunch of scriptures from their book. Their book did not give me the slightest reason to believe in it. They said that I should believe in it because of the 14 witnesses who testified that it was true, and that one of the witnesses was a teacher, so I should believe. I thought that was stupid. So I did not believe it. I accepted their arguements and had no reason to accept their arguements at all. I gave them a fair shot and they had nothing.

I only believe in God now because I challenged God to reveal himself in a specific way that specifically addressed my atheist argument. He did it in less than two weeks and it was not when I was studying any religion. I was not preyed on by anyone.

    you can expect the Lord
Jesus to be coming one day soon!"

I don't believe that because Scorpion said it.
