Perhaps this information demonstrates why the text of their writing is so simplistic these days. It has to be easily translatable by an army of non scholarly translators.

Also, the message may be available in 1000 languages but how many people really know what JWs believe.?

To give credit where credits due ,come on lets face it ,it is a commendable achievement from a worldly point of view.

Not that it really means anything

.No more than what it meant years ago when the JW/WT religion could boast that the Watchtower magazine was the most widely distributed magazine in the whole world .

Even claiming that if you put the WT and Awake end to end they would reach the moon and back.

Or that the most distributed books in the world over a period of time ,the JW religion had about 5 or 6 out of the 10 most distributed books worldwide .

    The Guiness book Of records

This was from a worldly source . and not from JW`s.

"The truth That leads To Everlasting Life " was the top of the list of JW books distributed .And i think "Paradise lost To Paradise Regained" was another one if I remember correctly.

    Anybody here remember that ?

What did that all mean ? Jackshit , that`s what it meant it doesn`t mean anything.

Smiddy - JW/WT religion has to be the most distributed unread magazines/books on planet earth. What product waste!

You reach a point of diminishing returns after a few dozen languages, let alone 1000+.

The 100th most common language in the world is spoken by about 7 million people, which is something like 0.1% of the population.

By the time you get down to language number 1000, you are at best in the 100's of thousands of speakers, probably less.

Consider all the millions of dollars sunk into building "Remote Translation Offices" all over the world, translating "literature" into obscure tribal African or Asian languages that maybe, at best, a couple hundred people will ever read.....

Why, you'd almost think that the WTS is more a real estate development corporation rather than a "religion".

Those circulated magazines were really in closets waiting for the trash. The count always was for how many printed, not actually placed and read

Some good posts making decent points.

If statistics is really evidence of God's blessing ... well, think of the billions of Catholics and Muslims the world over.

Yes folks, God really is speeding up His message due to the sheer number of adherents of Catholicism and Islam!

Or that the most distributed books in the world over a period of time ,the JW religion had about 5 or 6 out of the 10 most distributed books worldwide .

And none of them are in use to day because as it turns out, they were full of misinformation that had to either be revised or abandoned altogether.

When you have about 8.5 million jw`s and even if only about 2/3rds of those brainwashed obedient people brought the latest book, what author would balk at about 5 million book sales ?
