Teeny... what reasons did they give you for not allowing you to joing their little group? Did they call the P.O. of that congregation? Or was it because you did not have a referance?

When I was 17 my mom and my sister and her nitwit husband all drove from Calif. to the convention in New York city.

On the way we stopped at a cafe in Nebraska and ran into another jw couple going to the same convention. The way they, especially the female, talked and the things they said, gave me the creaps. One of us said "well have a good trip" or something like that and she replied, " I hope we have troubles". It is so good to see how Jehovah delivers his people from trouble.

Sure enough a few miles down the road there was a minor auto accident. On slowing down to get by it we all saw this nitwit " the woman, not my sisters husband" standing there by the wrecked car with a big smile on her face.

It was like she got what she asked for. What was the reward or the point. Just more nonsense.

Outoftheorg of the no miracle for me, class.

    Hi pr_,

I applied using a different log on, said I was apart of the local cong where I live now, and somehow I used the name of the presiding overseer. I got his name from the guy who answered the phone at Circuit Leasing (they sell COs used cars). The guy at Circuit Leasing asked who, where, what etc. I said I was inquiring for my mother, she attended So and So cong in my town.

Much to my surprise he knew the PO! I scrambled and said I was inactive, however, I knew the name. The Circuit Leasing man said the Brother was a wonderful man....DanTheMan knows him (went to that cong) and said he is an SOB.

Anyway, they apparently do call and verify that you are in the truth and spiritually strong. I got an answer the next day. They said NO!

I would love to peek in on the chats there. It would be interesting to hear them behind closed doors. However, with the fear of ramifications, they are probably terrified to say anything negative.

This is from our local study group:

When she awoke one morning a sister remembered her time of the month was at hand and realised she had forgotten to replenish her supply of sanitary napkins. She was considering cancelling her morning of service when she heard the mailman. To her great surprise and delight, upon checking her mail, she saw a little package with a complementary sample. You guessed it. She was able to go to the group and related how Jehovah had come to her help just in the nick of time. A couple of sisters looked at her and said "Jehovah sent everyone a sample this morning" Thing is, I don't think she got it.
