The last couple of weeks, the newspapers have been reporting that Malawi is dealing with a huge problem---VAMPIRES! Citizens are charging that the government is colluding with vampires to collect human blood for international aid agencies in exchange for food..........YOUR COMMENTS, PLEASE.

In 1968, we were horrified to see our brothers and sisters being brutally persecuted because of their single-minded trust in the organization. They went thru all types of atrocities to show their devotion to God. Beatings, rapes, murders, loss of jobs and homes, you name it, they suffered. And they did it all for "righteousness sake". They were the organization's ROLE MODEL. We often would compare ourselves to the friends in Malawi and pray for forgiveness because we took things for granted and didn't appreciate sacred things. Yes, we were failures in comparison to our spiritual brothers and sisters in Malawi. The truth is though, that these are the same people, 35 years later, that believe in VAMPIRES!!! These people that fought against the government due to their religious beliefs are the same ones that fight against the government because they believe they are being exploited for their blood! These Malawians that were ready to let go of all that they owned along with every comfort of life , are the same people that are killing other humans because they suspect them of trying to literally suck the blood out of them......This is the type of people that Jehovah's Witnesses have tried to emulate, people who are afraid of vampires. Boy, were we duped!

Perhaps because these tragic rather than silly people are simply uneducated, uninformed and easily manipulated. 48% of their population is under the age of 15. The per capita income is listed at 168USD and their life expectancy is only 41 years of age. A sad situation indeed but I'm not comfortable with faulting them for ever being sucked in and blindly following the borg.seven
