Wednesday - the day of Woden, the god of knowledge, wisdom and enlightnment... and of war.

Kalends of January, new year's day, Fortuna, Jupiter, Juno

New year's day is sacred to the Greek Zeus and Hera and the Roman Jupiter and Juno.

Today is a day of offering to the Roman goddess Fortuna, of women, fortune and fertility.

Happy New Year everyone and especially fellow Pagans. I can't wait for Ostara and Beltane this year.

    Happy Roman Pagan New Year!

(Most Celts start it on Samhain--Oct 31, and the Chinese do it later than our Jan 1st by a few weeks...)

    Ciao!
