LOL at Craig,,,,,,,,,, they do seem to get a little too excited hearing the explicit details ,don't they,,, now I know why in our little congregation there was a microwave.......... it was for the popcorn they ate while listening to sinful sexual confessions...hehehe.

And what is this I hear about Jesika and a banana? hheheheeehhhe Girl you know you will be harassed for this for awhile......... we have nothing better to do.

It does seem like a recurring theme today,,,,,,,,, vegetable, and now fruit,,,,,,,,, even I yes I,,,,,,,, ran thru a thread a few minutes ago holding my melons,,,,,,,,,,,I didnt want to drop them.

Oh I meant to ask you Jesika, was the banana peeled or not??? That might have some bearing on your judical committee meeting over this illicit affair with the banana. Is Eleswhere chairman of the committe????????????,,, lets hope he judges for mercy....... I will be praying for you!!

As an Elder, I saw this type of questioning only once. The excuse for the questioning is that they are trying to determine if the act was:

    1. Pre meditative or a spontaneous act

    2. If your actions meet the definition of Pornia

As Elders, I feel that the questions asked were very over the top and not reasonable or appropriate.

My question is, Do they ask these questions of brothers suspected of committing fornication or adultery?

If the answer is no, then it is fairly obvious what the motive is for asking these type of questions.

desy2477: I was never an elder, so, I was amazed when I found out how graphic the elders get at a judicial meeting. I always naively thought that there was a confession of sexual immorality and then the elders would determine if the relationship was continuing. A sister from my area was having a sexual relationship and the elders at her judicial committee started asking her detailed questions about it. She told them that it was none of their damn business, just disfellowship me.

JT: That story turned my stomach. That one elder seemed to be drooling to find out all the intimate details of her intimate liasion. Where in scripture does it state that it is the elders' job to probe for every minute detail of someones sexual indiscretions. Personally, I no longer agree with judicial committees. I was wondering, JT, what is the WT's perverted reasoning for pursuing such graphic details. Jesus, when forgiving certain ones of sexual immorality, would say something like, go in peace and sin no more. Where did he ever go into intimate detail about someones sexual sin?
