Xandria, thank you for the informative web site posts!! I checked them out, and fortunately, I do not seem to be extending hospitality to any of the critters listed. But who knows - I go back to the doc on Tuesday, and we'll see what she says.

My wife tells me that this thing will eventually work its way up to my brain, and then die because there is nothing there.
ugg, I am soaking in a solution of 1 gallon of water and a pill provided by the doc that is actually poisonous if swallowed (my daughter says she will gladly mix this with my oral medication.). It turns the water purple, and it's supposed to work against the secondary infection that I have which may be due to bacteria or fungi. My toenails are now purple, lol. I guess now I know what it would look like if I had ever decided to paint them.
