Hello,

Let me start by saying that I am not here to condemn your beliefs or to argue Biblical beliefs. I am a student exploring the health questions that arise in the treatment of Jehovah's Witnesses. If you could please answer some questions for me, I would appreciate it.

    1. Are there any conditions that would allow the transfusion of blood or blood products?

    2. What are the views of auto-transfusion?

    3. What are the penalties if someone recieves a transfusion without thier knowledge?

    4. Would someone who develpes a blood-born disease be treated any differently?

    5. what about organ transplants?

    6. Are there any other procedures that are not allowed by the Jehovahs Witness Faith?

Thank you in advance for your help,

    Your's in Christ, Paul Jeffers

    Welcome to the board.

I think you might get some good information from this site: http://www.ajwrb.org/index.shtml

This board is frequented by xjws. So its hard to answer questions about an issue that I have rejected as built on lies.

    Hello Paul:

An excellent resource on the blood issue is the Associated Jehovah's Witnesses For Reform On Blood website, at http://www.ajwrb.org/

    P>Hey guys,

I am writing a paper on Jehovah Witness and Medical Treatments and I have a question regarding blood transfusions. Can Jehovah's witness receive their own blood back for a procedure if they have given before hand? Would they consider that?

Just wandering.

thanks!!

Paul, they used to believe that organ transplants were wrong, but they changed their minds on that one. The same applies to vacinations, once wrong, now OK.

Paul, if you to the bottom of this page and click on "Quotes", you can find more information under the topics of "Medical Doctrines" and "Psychiatry". If you go way back in their history, you will see that they had some very peculiar beliefs regarding medical treatment.
