Thought I would add this little tidbit from my past.
The KH I attended in the early 50's and 60's did not have any separate instruction for the children, however, during the written review those who were too young to read or write could go into the library where they were read stories (not always bible stories), nursery type rhymes etc. It was hosted by the school servant or another servant in the congregation. It was discontinued I believe in the mid 60's. I remember being disappointed when my father told me I had to join the adults because I was old enough to read and understand at least some of the written review.
Did anyone else have a similar arrangement?
All best,
Mak
