"this generation will by no means passaway"

Anything they keep changing their interpretation of such as the scripture cited.

"this generation will by no means passaway"

~ Is that the archetypal classic or what ~

~ Does anyone know how many times / generations they have used that one on ? ~ all of them until now ? They can't cover it up anymore.

    Not so tent-ative now.

I was paying in-tents attention to that one!

That's in-tense at-tent-ion (here and now - holding this time and position)

It's funny how your in-tent can be well placed - but then...

you find you'd like to revisit where you were - your post.

The scripture that says "do not lean on your own understanding."

JWs misapply this scripture to mean we should all lean on the understanding of the Governing Body who is better qualified to interpret the Bible for us. Of course the scripture is properly suggesting only that we don't want to be influenced by our own biases and on own intelligence but rather adhere to the guidance and teaching of the holy spirit.

    Good Thread.

It would take hundreds of Books to cover all of the corruption that the Watchtower Society has done to the Bible.

I will try to post some Scriptures they have really messed up here soon.

YES, UnDisfellowshipped now has the mark of the beast!!!!!!!

So, since everybody is piling on here, I'll add my own 260#...

How about Rom 13:1? Was Caesar, then God, and back to C again. Convenient timing, too, as I recall the shift back and forth.

edit for PS: Just noticed that I'm also approaching 666 (shssssshhhh)

I'm glad I got past that Mark pretty fast!

Speaking of the Mark of the Beast, I believe that is another Scripture where the Watchtower is misapplying it.

They teach that it will NOT be a literal Mark on your hand or forehead.

I've been having a spirited discussion with my mother on Prov. 27:11. I've said absolutely no mention is made of Jehovah and Satan in the text. So she took out the large print NWT with chain references to"prove" that the Bible says that Satan and God are being referred to here. Anybody have any suggestions to penetrate the head of Mom?
