Tina, Foot and Mouth disease is totally different from "Mad Cow Disease". Mad Cow Disease is a bovine form of Scrapie, which generally only affects sheep. It was believed that Scrapie could not be transmitted to cattle, and normally it wasn't. Because of the practice of grinding up diseased sheep and adding the meat to the feed of cattle, the disease mutated into its bovine, and later human form. Foot and Mouth is NOT transmissible to humans.
