At a recent circuit assembly of about 20 congregations there were 10 baptized.Thats .5 for each cong. in the circuit. With all the pioneers and CO.visits, i believe the CO.makes it around the circuit twice in one year, that's not increase from the field.Mostly family and young ones were baptized. 1995 was the generation teaching change and also around the time that the Internet started taking off and becoming mainstream.

Thanks, larc. We had a talk about our congregation that only one person, not a family member, was baptized in the last 10 years (and that person was DF'd shortly after that talk). I do a spreadsheet with the numbers given in each new yearbook. It goes back to 1968 (the farthest back my yearbooks go).

I have a number that is basically the number baptized that year minus the average number of publishers. I call these people MIA.

    1995 83,258

    1996 149,665

    1997 190,103

    1998 125,111

    1999 213,511

    2000 159,891

    2001 164,658

Any increase is deceptive when these many people are leaving by the back door. (Notice the 1995 effect)
