London Ontario Old Boy Network alive and thriving.

I served for years as an elder in London Ontario. Finally stepped aside because of the old boy network, elders covering up for one another, practice of elders and their wives party times with excessive use of alcohol. The elders families getting slaps on the wrist for major sins. Elders wives knowing intimate details of judicial matters. We had allegations of incest against a prominent elder in the city that were hushed up because his daughter refused in fear to testify. The old boy network was city wide, elders covering up for one another, favours shown to elders sons who were guilty of porniea. The entire city turned a blind eye even the CO and the DO, to a prominent elder in the city, who were witness to his close association with his disfellowshipped daughter at district and other circuit assemblies while others shrank in fear over even being in the same store as a DF relative. So if anyone has been or is aware of these things drop me a private note lots more to share. If anyone still in the ORG thinks I am an apostate liar tell me and I can name dates places persons. that's y I am not one of the boys.

What would anyone who has ever been "in the JW Big Boys Club" ever call you a liar?

Same Shit, Different Day, Different Place (just like all the others)

You must have really, really believed the sh!t that JWs were supposed to be "different".

    Rude awakening, I know.

Now get on with your life.

    Good luck,

    Doc

OOOH ...sounds like you were just dismissed or something along that line! Maybe Doc is looking out for you and doesn't want you to waste anymore time on watchtower! Well none of us should dwell too long on it... but love your post, sounds like your experiences are pretty interesting. As a woman I was not privy to a whole bunch of 'old boy stuff'. So after waking-up it has been quite a peek into this exclusive club. It kind of levels the playing field to hear the truth about these leaders, elders, princes', dukes etc.

We thought JW's were supposed to be different too...they are not. A tough lesson to learn. I agree with Doc...get on with your life and let those sharks in the Kingdom Hall devour each other. They deserve each other.

    Glad our family escaped!

Sounds like it was really bad up there...my father was an elder and I know you are telling it like it is. He got forced out by a kangaroo court...but never left the org. Hah...he had his good points but weak character...but I got to hand it to him for one thing.....from 1960 ish thru to his death in 2003 the man NEVER went house to house. He'd meet..set fs groups up..then off to the package store for his nips. Ha...

JWs claim to be different but they are not. Nor does Jehovah save these people from anything either. All my family born on or before 1914 are dead. None of them saw Armageddon and 'the new system of things'.

All of them died of something not so great like cancer, heart ailment or other issues related to old age. Yep, no one lives forever. We all die. So knowing that, it's good to live your life as you wish, not as some wacko religion wants you to.
