Are all spirits demons playing games?

It is however many years ago that it takes to put you back to the Witness years ...

You come home from doing some grocery shopping, with a gallon of milk in hand. You place it on the counter, and turn to open up the refrigerator door. When you turn around, it is in a new place, several feet from where you remember. You think "that is odd", but figure your memory must be failing. You grab it and place it in the frig and go back to putting away the rest of your groceries.

A few minutes later you are done and you decide a glass of milk sounds good. So you open the fridge, pour a glass and put the milk away. You turn around and the glass has tipped over and spilt. Okay, you think this is weird. Again, you credit it to some clumsy mistake and clean up the mess and go back to the frig for that milk again. This time you pour and make sure that you carefully avoid spilling again. You keep an eye on the glass this time as you place the milk back into the fridge. It is still there, and the glass is full!

You go to pick it up and it slides away and off the end, as if some unseen force has grabbed it and taken it away. The fridge opens and the gallon of milk drops out and pours all over the floor until it is gone.

Being a good little Witness you think "demons" and begin praying out loud that Jehovah save and protect you. You are dripping in the sweat of panic, and standing in milk and broken glass. Everything is calm again. You are crying and scared to death though, so you continue praying and walking from the kitchen. You go to the living room and sit, thinking that demons have attacked you. You do not move for hours, until you fill calm enough to watch some television to calm nerves.

The television comes on and you flip through channels to the news. The news lady comes on and says, "we have a consumer warning this evening, if anyone has purchase milk today. Please check to make sure that it is not this brand, as people have been becoming deathly sick from drinking it." You sit in shock and walk into the kitchen, and pick-up the empty milk carton and sure enough, it was the brand they mentioned.

... what am I getting at here. Well from my experience as a Witness and even with some Ex-Jw's. I have noticed a tendency to think anything from the spirit realm or associated with it, is "demons." It is as if no Witness, even though they believe in angels, would accept something like the above event as helpful. Rather they would see it as evil, and pray for help from "Jehovah."

Now in my experience and exit from the Witnesses, and Christianity. I have noticed that most religions accept the fact, to some degree, that their is a spirit realm and after life. What I find interesting with that though, is that Witnesses seem to be the main ones you consider that evil. Anytime something happened, it was "demons", without even looking into the facts.

So I was wondering, how do you feel about the spirit realm now. Are you like the Witness of your past, as shown above, who had things happening, but could not figure out the warnings. At least until it got more bold and noticeable. Or, are you like the Witnesses who saw the news and realized something was trying to help them, and keep them safe from something they did not know about yet?

This really has many applications, and I am interested in seeing what people think. Does the spirit realm affect our life in the physical life, or is it all demons playing mind tricks?

    Just wondering

After leaving dubism, i went to pentle type churches for 2 yrs. I saw some exorcisms, i aided in one. I saw one woman whom i knew had been crazy for many years. After an exorcism, she was a new person, a normaly functioning person, for about 6 months. After that she relapsed.

I was always interested in this kind of stuff, I read about it and done some xperiments. I have concluded that there might not be any biblical devil/demons. The socalled evil spirits are likely those of people who have died. Most experiences of a psychic kind could very well be the subconscious at work. The subconscious mind is more spacious than the conscious mind. It is continuously working 24/7. It is making deals with the subconscious minds of others without our conscious knowledge. There may even be a communal human sudconscious. However, i am a rank amateur to this field.

No. Maybe anything that happens along those lines are just creation's of our own mind. No spirits whatever..good or bad.

On the other hand, I enjoy thinking about any spirit realm. Hell, I even think things happen moreso because of a it, but that's just my opinion based upon my personal (interpetation) experience. I do realise there are too many charlaton's out there, but even that is a part of learning about one self.

At what point and time in our life do we forego worrying about what the other fellow believe's or, does not believe. It's how the the individual respondes and works with any energies that might enhance the quality of our life. I pesonally enjoy association with those of like-mind; but again, for myself, I'm learning the hard way that everyone is my mirror into instrospection.

Furthermore, speaking about energies, I don't know about you Dragon, but far too many people seem far too contented with status-quo. They have been sucked into the vacum of self-doubt, the ever hardening to the heart by use of shame...the list could probably go on and on.

And of course the sick politicans that would interpetate and define "words" for me. Don't say this, don't say that; don't do this, don't do that...and religion, any of them, are bedfellows.

"Sooner or later when you lie with the Devil, you're gonna F--k him."

I heard that in A.A. years ago and somehow makes sense to me.

BTW, I enjoyed the thead about the SilentLamb's. Of course Kelsey is one of my favorite posters, too. But then there really are so many wonderful people out there, eh. Wow, got a different face.

Oh politics. I could discuss that all night. Frustrating what people let get by without notice, and how we as a culture are dictated in life by people who only care about "special interest" and "Christian collations." How about the limits the politicians put on things with censorships and fear. Where they push issues silently until they get so strong, you can not fight them once you realize what is going on.

Oh well, I am getting off subject. Good to here from you ... less then two months until I am "Daddy Dragon"

I still believe in Satan and his demons..........and yes, I think they're responsible for alot of the evil going on in the world. I'm also more open now though, to the idea that there may be something in us that survives death. This could account for alot of hauntings that seem to go on in the world.

Witnesses are in the minority when it comes to belief in a life after death and demons. Virtually ever other religion on earth teaches that there IS a life after death.
