I would be surprised if one in a thousand active JWs could give a rational answer to the "where did 2 sexes come from" objection to evolution.

By the way the key to answering the question is to understand the fundamental difference between male and female - it has nothing to do with genitals.

It's not that hard to realize how evolution works, even with languages.

The governing body know that to understand and translate a language it's most efficient to go to the source where the language developed. No different than studying the evolution and development of diseases and microorganisms.

But why do some species not have "six" genders as you seem to suggest this is just as reasonable a contender - Flamegrilled

    Some fungi have 36,000 sexes.

    The evolution of sex

Although bacteria simply multiply by dividing into two, they also often exchange genetic material, usually by releasing small fragments called plasmids which can be absorbed by nearby bacteria. In this way, beneficial mutations are shared. This might arguably be considered to be the earliest form of sex.

After the appearance of plants and animals in the oceans around 600 million years ago, the only practical way for these new multi-celled sea-creatures to reproduce was by releasing seeds or eggs, whose cells would then begin dividing, sticking together, and changing each time they divided, until finally forming a new adult.

I always wondered the exact same thing. How could we have dolphins if there wasn't a male and female animal that found each other and mated. That sounded very far fetched. Then the offspring all had to live long enough to reproduce. It's a logical question if you don't understand evolution.

It's really no different than a village in the remotest regions of the Amazon failing to understand how they can be in your "magic box" ( digital camera ) and be outside at the same time. Their only logical explanation is that you have powers of some kind. From their limited perspective, it makes sense. They are not supid, they are just ignorant of the modern world.

They are not supid, they are just ignorant of the modern world.

But in the case of JWs and fundie christians it's wilful ignorance.

It becomes willful ignorance when they willingly ignore the facts. That can only occur when they are allowed to hear the facts, which dubs are not.

I'm convinced that most dubs are just ignorant, at least the R&F are. The higher-ups are another story. They intentionally lie, misquote, take quotes out of context and use fallacious arguments to keep the R&F ignorant.

In the age of google ignorance is a choice.

Many organisms can reproduce sexually as well as asexually. Aphids, slime molds, sea anemones, some species of starfish and many plants are examples. When environmental factors are favorable, asexual reproduction is employed to exploit suitable conditions for survival such as an abundant food supply, adequate shelter, favorable climate, disease, optimum pH or a proper mix of other lifestyle requirements. Populations of these organisms increase exponentially via asexual reproductive strategies to take full advantage of the rich supply resources.

When food sources have been depleted, the climate becomes hostile, or individual survival is jeopardized by some other adverse change in living conditions, these organisms switch to sexual forms of reproduction. Sexual reproduction ensures a mixing of the gene pool of the species. The variations found in offspring of sexual reproduction allow some individuals to be better suited for survival and provide a mechanism for selective adaptation to occur. The meiosis stage of the sexual cycle also allows especially effective repair of DNA damages In addition, sexual reproduction usually results in the formation of a life stage that is able to endure the conditions that threaten the offspring of an asexual parent. Thus, seeds, spores, eggs, pupae, cysts or other "over-wintering" stages of sexual reproduction ensure the survival during unfavorable times and the organism can "wait out" adverse situations until a swing back to suitability occurs.
