Was It Weakness or Wickedness?

Hello Silentlambs and all out there

Some of you may have been familiar with our story of being dfd in 5/98 for apostacizing from our baptimal questions and then my husband lost his family business with his father and brother who no longer wanted to work with an apostate, therfore my husband sold his share of the partnership to his family and they paid us for almost two years just to STAY AWAY! It was a blessing because our three sons needed us more than ever after losing ALL family on both sides over night.

In Dec 96 after about 6 years of my son being molested by a sister in the hall who babysat and was at my house daily.....our son came forward with it...most of it as he was humiliated and embarrased. He was 11 at the time and she was 17. We about collapsed! We set up a meeting and met. Of course she denied the details. Only admitting to earlier days of "normal" stuff that kids do when they fondle. She was never disciplined (only slapped and told for a minute she could not be with children alone). We left the cong. But as LOYAL JW's feeling Jah would take care of it and the elders knew what to do, trusted them. We began attending the sister hall. We were told it was not to leave the room we met in. We could not discuss with anyone (not warn their children) or ACTION would be taken against us.

Sooo we listened! One year went by and then Praise Jah that holy spirit opened our eyes and took us out of that wicked organization and freed us to follow our "true leader" Christ.

We were dfd even after appealing to give a witness and "that particular family" I'm sure felt vindicated as to the lie our son spread about their daughter. "The troublemakers are taken care of.".....

As time went on, this young woman now worked as a volunterr with her mother who ran a daycare on school property.

I could not sleep with a clean conscience anymore. So we went to child protective services and our case was opened. Now ALL JWs were on their side. Even the elders said we were now causing trouble and making Jehovah's name look bad. That we were lieing once again.

A private detective interviewed and videotaped our three sons and their testimony. As it was only the oldest who had the grimmest details. The two younger only at this later time remember seeing things between the two.

Thats all that happened until we were supinad to court. WHich of cause the other family got a lawyer in the meantime to fight their case. A year went by........

Court was cancelled twice. We never to this day know what the elders admitted, if they supinad the notes taken or lied.

But to our dismay, a couple weeks ago we got a phone call that told us that our case had been dismissed and the charges were dropped. Apparantly the phyc interviews and counselling she had been going through proved (I don't know how they figure) that she was telling the truth and that she doesn't have the....I'm not sure the legal word....indication that she is someone that would ever have continued this long term abuse. Most adults that abuse for these amount of years always contine and they found nothing to indicate that she is doing anything. Go figure! A master at lieing and deception. Of course. That is what this society is great at producing.

So...It is truly in Jah's hands. THEY ARE NAKED AND EXPOSED TO HIM! I told the DA's office that we did what we were supposed to do legally, morally and scripturally. It was on them. I could now sleep at night and they will have to answer for any new baby that comes forward. My hands are clean. They have to live with their decision.

So... we will go on doing what we are supposd to do. Show love! Let our light shine! And continue faithful and wait on Jah. "Vengeance belongs to him!"

I pray constantly that any anger I have, that my lord will take it from me and or help to deal with it so it does not consume me to the point of being like "a Cain". A manslayer and hating my brother.

I pray for mercy, forgiviness, love and wisdom to reign.

    To all of you

    Have a great day!

I am here for you as your sister in Christ and truly understand your pain.

You Are Invited to a silentlambs March in New York !

On 9-27-02 , we are asking for survivors and supporters of those who have suffered abuse within the Jehovahs Witness community come together for a peaceful march in Brooklyn.

    WHY ATTEND?

At silentlambs we care about children, in addition, we wish to let abuse survivors know that are not alone and have our support. This will be a united statement to the Watchtower organization that they must change policy to protect our children. Also, if you can serve as an eye-witness it is another way to take a stand for r ighteousness in behalf of all silentlambs.

    WHO MAY COME?

EVERYONE! At silentlambs we practice dont ask dont tell when we gather for important events. We do not care if you are DF, DA, or what you may personally hold as belief. We ask that all simply support those who were abused as Jehovahs Witnesses without prejudice as to standing in the organization. If you plan to attend please email and let us know how many are in your group to help us to know beforehand how large a group will be there so we may plan accordingly.

    WHERE:

The march will start on the west side of Perrepont Place and Columbia Heights at the park, see map enclosed, we will then walk about seven blocks to our destination 25 Columbia Heights.

    WHAT WILL WE DO?

We are going to have a police escort all the way to the front door of 25 Columbia Heights . All permits have been obtained. Plan to be at Perrepont Place and Columbia Heights at around on 12:30 on the 27 th of September, 2002. We will proceed in an orderly fashion to Columbia Heights 25 . This march is not about anger, it is not about other issues you may be upset about, it is about protecting children and supporting abuse survivors. I prefer that all banners and posters support this theme. We are united for one cause. Some have stated they wish to express other agendas at the march, I feel this is not appropriate. What if you were an active witness whose child had been molested, would it be fair to them to express views that may be offensive? To reach out to all and keep the focus we have to be neutral on doctrinal issues. Silentlambs is about support of ALL, not any certain side of doctrinal issues.

Dress however you wish, wear comfortable walking shoes, casual clothing will be fine. Be sure to bring rain protection just in case, cheap ponchos are about $1 at Walmart . Be aware it could be cooler in this time of the year. We will have t-shirts available when you get there.

When we arrive at 25 Columbia Heights, we will first have a program in which abuse survivors will be asked to make a brief 60 second comment for whoever wants to speak. I will introduce different ones after the opening comments. We will then request a meeting with the Governing Body as outlined in my June 2002 letter. If the Governing Body refuses to meet we will then deliver the lambs to them as a reminder of who they are hurting by not meeting. Anyone who cannot make the trip can send a lamb along with a friend. We will then conclude with closing comments by those who wish to speak and I will conclude the program. Afterwards for those who can we would like to meet for dinner at a location nearby. This will be announced when we get there.

Be aware has strict ordinances when it comes to signs and posters. No sticks or hard supports structures are allowed. You can use cardboard tubing or similar materials to hold up your posters. I was thinking of making posters when we arrive and having materials available to do so. We can start about for those who would like to assist at and at the park. Bring stuffed lambs for abuse survivors who cannot be there. We will deliver them to when we arrive, if you wish to send a lamb contact me for assistance in doing so.

    EYE WITNESSES:

If you wish to serve as an eye-witness regarding how the Governing Body has allowed Watchtower Policy to hurt children, you are invited to come forward. Whatever your status regarding the organization you have the right to serve as an eye-witness. Please bring any written documentation such as Watchtower correspondence along with your first hand experience of what happened to your or your family when abuse problems arose. Please be willing to explain how you were hurt by Watchtower Policy.

Thanks Bill, It would be nice if that letter could be used in a court of law.

This letter has been used in a court of law extensively this week. I hope it proves to be a millstone around the Watchtower's neck.

I think it just shows they don't give a damn about the average, ordinary person. I think they are evil. I truly hope there is a God who does care, for if there is then these people, and others like them, will have to answer for what they didn't do.
