The Sept. 22 Awake has this letter from reader:

Shortly after my husband left me, I recieved the February 8, 2002, Awake! The cover on the wedding day was really hard for me to take. I thought, 'Why couldn't my husband and I be happpy like the couple on the cover?' However, when I read the article on the kea in the same magazine, I laughed out loud. I didn't know there was such a cute bird! My heart was refreshed. It was as if Jehovah were encouraging me, saying: "enjoy life!" Thank you so much.

.jeez, the're really scrapin' the bottom of the barrel

I bet they used to file this kind of thing under "Misguided wacko"

Every congo had it's share of eccentric nuts, but there is no need to give them a platform.

PS. I wonder why he left her?

Why yes, Jehovah God uses all sorts of signs to cleverly encourage us.He may use birds, bees, and even dogs.(remember how that dog being witnessed to brought the dog owner into the "truth".) One time I, even I, was a tad discouraged. I read that wonderful article on beavers from the 1963 Awake and my spirits soared! Truly, our Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need and when we need it.

What a continuing tragedy! The writers and editors of the magazines don't have a clue
as to HOW SICK WITNESSES ARE!

Consider what kind of circumstance prevails if this person is real. If their mood
swings can be triggered so easily, how far from suicide can they be?

A parrot found in alpine regions of New Zealand's South Island, the kea is notable for its unusual behavioural traits: extreme curiosity, playfulness, and a flexibility in diet that unfortunately extends to live sheep.

    http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2001/02/0219_kea.html

"Keas are cheeky but when in the mood can also be destructive to soft parts of vehicles," warns a sign in New Zealand's Westland National Park.
Despite the sign, many visitors to the park are surprised by the destructiveness of the kea. Westland campers have woken up to find their gear dismantled and motorists watch their windshield wiper blades ripped off by the "cheeky" creature.

Judy Diamond first became interested in the animal after a visit to New Zealand. "[New Zealanders] had the wildest stories they were telling me about it," she said.

To hear tales of the kea, visitors to New Zealand's South Island might expect to find a monkey attacking their belongings. Few would expect the 20-inch (50-centimeter) brown-green parrot to be the comical-but-destructive animal that local wildlife officials call "the clown of New Zealand's Southern Alps."

    Charming creature!

"Then when I read the article of how all the opposers and wicked apostates would be slaughtered in Armagedon my spirit was refreshed. It was like God saying "I'm gonna destroy 99.9% of the world's population and if you aren't one of Jehovah's Witnesses you'll be part of that number."

That's right folks.... no need for marriage counselors, forensic investigators for rape victims, or mental health professionals. Just buy a parrot and listen to their wisdom when they talk. Are they not from our creator? How thankful we can be that we have the truth.
