I do have this book, at least the 1884 edition, edited by Bishop Harris. Against the backdrop of these other religions, the International Bible Students were quite mild in their treatment of offenders at their inception. Rutherford and Knorr strengthened the disciplinary procedures. Rutherford, being the mild and pleasant fellow that he was, relished his power to publicly humiliate others before explusion.
I am sure our resident Rutherford esperts, Larc and Farkel have much more to offer in this sorry domain.
