When an angel from God came with news, the message started with "don't be afraid" because they were from God - no reason to be afraid.
Jws bring the message of "be afraid" and "aren't things all shitty" and "the end of the world is nigh".
As a jw, if someone told you plainly and firmly "their thoughts of your quest" when you told the gloomy message, how would you react?
