Would you dare do this?

If your family treats you like you are dead, since you left the Witnesses. Try this, write your own obituary and send it to them.

"Dragon passed away from his former life in a awake state today. He was accompanied by his wife and his future child, as they followed him into passing.

Dragon was a former member of Jehovah's Witnesses and wasted a large chunk of his life preaching about a God and religion that do not exist. He found that love and understanding were more powerful then hate, and thus contracted a incurable disease of "truth."

Dragon was proceeded in passing by four cousins, a uncle and several other members of his family. Services will be held throughout his remaining new life, as he celebrates the life he as crossed in to. Contributions can be made to his bank account, and he will make sure it is put to good use."

... send that to them, and tell them that if you died, it only seems appropriate that you get a proper written farewell.

    Just my thought

    Hi, Dragon.

Gave me a chuckle, but in my case I've been out so long that it just doesn't matter any longer about my jw family. I had my last shot, last year, with an older sibling and I'm just not interested in having the first or last word with them for any reason whatsoever, ever again. It's done, finished. Nothing to say, period.

How is your wife doing these days? Are you two ready for parenthood?

    Take care,

    Granny Linda
