I can't recall the medical name for it "getting old I guess" but there is a condition where one is in between awake and asleep that causes what seems to be a force on the chest holding one down in the bed. Due to the asleep situation the brain in affect paralyzes ones muscles at least to some degree so we don't injure ourselves thrashing around when asleep. In this state one is somewhat aware of the surroundings but feels as though some one or thing is in control of us since we are not fully in control of ourselves. With very little physical or mental control. The panic generated coupled with dreams we may be having and fears generated can cause an event we decipher as a demon attack. I think this is what is happening to a lot of sane people when they say they are being attacked by demons. But I know there are a lot of mentaly disturbed people in the wbts. I think they are untruthful a lot of the times. Sort of like the kids enjoying frightening themselves and others about the empty house down the block being haunted kind of thing.
Hey, this has happened to me a few times. I never considered it to be demons though. It just scared the crap out of me.
In my case, I woke up or became aware of my surroundings. I could hear all of the normal sounds in the room such as the air-conditioner, even my own breathing. I was very aware of where I was and what was going on, I could not move or open my eyes. I could not even control my own breathing. The fact that was asleep and my breathing was very shallow, gave me a feeling of suffocation. This definitely causes a feeling of panic. After less than 30 seconds I woke up, with my heart racing.
I rationalized the experience with the thought that normally your brain somewhat disconects from your body while sleeping. I believed that it probably was not too unusual for this experience to happen. Glad to know that there is a medical name for it.

not all crazy people are totally crazy, it some cases they show being "crazy" only under specific circunstances or specific conversation topic.
BTW 2
what is a dream?
a "played back" movie if you will
or a movie produced by your own brain from stuff you put in it one way or another...
It is unlikey you can 'see' or imagine anything you have not seen before
or you want to try? perhaps you can just 'combine' images and objects you have seen before.

Oh yeah, back to the subject.
Wasn't it Mary in the New Testament that had that experience where a spirit creature got her pregnant?
I don't believe it was actually a demon, but close.

pseudo:
That condition is called (imaginatively enough) 'sleep paralysis'. It often occurs along with hypnopompic hallucinations, which are hallucinations that occur when coming out of sleep (vs hypnogogic hallucinations, which are hallucinations that occur when entering sleep).

Sleep paralyisis and "night terrors" are also often interpreted as evidence of alien abduction. The interpretation depends on the person's particular superstitions.
