Did you know, for example, that mothers and fathers who stroke the genitals of their fretful babies to keep them quiet are unwittingly encouraging them to become masturbators later on? Boys and girls may start to play with their private parts during puberty and, not receiving any counsel against this, the first thing they know they are “hooked” on the habit.

Yes..it does! It means that it is a NATURAL practice, and that is why Jehovah NEVER DIRECTLY condemned it in HIS word, the Bible. Why is it that the WBTS never wrote a book about" Old people ask"? dammit. Let's just let the young people carry all the guilt for what the Bible never directly condemns. The WT does more direct condemning than God's word, the Bible would ever do.

Not to be picking (for we all make mistakes), but we do have more elders that do not have the qualification to make such decisions. I agree with what Michael3000 said in one of his post, "They, the elders, are not trained in the field of psychiatry or marriage counselors."
The elder or any who give such counsel are out of line. If they want to practice in these fields , we have colleges that can help them.

I heard a elder tell a publisher that if he continues to take Prozac he will not be use in the cong. Now he, the elder pretends to be a doctor. What disturbs me is, I know this elder only made it to the tenth grade.
As I stated over in H20, the elder arrangement is not working as we originally planned back in the late 60's, thus in my opinion it needs to be done away with. Get rid of ALL titles in the organization and we solve our problems. Plain and simple. We say, don't call this person, father so-and-so, reverend so-and-so, bishop so-and-so, his holy see so-and-so, etc, etc, what's the difference the saying, this is brother ELDER Theodore Jaracz of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, or this is ELDER Jack Smith of the of the Brooklyn Bethel Congregation.
ThinkersWife, I am sorry if I sound harsh. But something has to be done. We are losing the cream of the milk, many post here and on other forums on the web, because of malpracticeing elders.
