Luke a jew or gentile?

    I understand thet the WT said that Luke was a Jew(Held by the WT page 45),on what basis did they say that?

    If the writer of Luke was Greek he was a Greek of the Diaspora the dispersion a Greek Jew. I think this is the likely scenario.

    The case is inconclusive for both positions with Rom.3:2 also being used as evidence that Paul was only talking about the OT in 2.Tim.3:16, rather than the OT and NT.

    There's also an argument that Rev.22:18 refers only to the scroll of Revelation, not the canon of 66 books (of which John's own gospel was likely written afterwards). But that's another story...

    More than just an arguement, that is a FACT. The warning in Revelations was intended ONLY for the book (or scroll) of revelations. A similar warning is also found in the book of Deuteronomy.
