I believe the WBTS uses this technique--I call it the "Purloined Letter" technique--to keep people duped.
If you remember that novel, an incriminating letter was missing. The Police tore up the house looking for it. I mean they ransacked it. Ripped sofa cushions open, etc.
It was on the dresser in the letter stand with a bunch of other letters.
It had been hidden in plain sight.
The JW hide the truth in plain sight. People are so busy ransacking other religions that they can't see the truth is right in front of them.
