I see all these posts about getting COPIES of the NBC "Dateline" show
aired Tuesday night about the jehovah Witnesses and pedophiles/rapists...
and posters here are ACTUALLY REQUESTING that others send them FREE COPIES
of that program which is NBC's INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY!
How Dare They!
Or worse yet, some are posting here that they would be willing to PAY,
not NBC, but those who TAPED THE SHOW on their VCR, and are making COPIES
of THE FRUITS OF NBC's LABOUR - TOTALLY circumventing the payment which
should go to NBC - and saying they'd pay for COPIES of COPIES of COPIES,
which Someones TAPED ILLEGALLY ON THEIR VCR- ! : : : g a s p ! : : :
Nevermind that it would help MANY people, and possibly open the eyes
of jWs who didn't watch the show, but now, so many here want their jW
relatives or friends to view the "Dateline" show... and to pass around
as many copies of that Watchtower Expose as they can to HELP people-
kind of like the Free Interchange of Information on the Internet-
(or, how the Internet USED to be)
Nevermind that!
You HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE of VIEWING NBC's INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY!
HOW MANY PIRATES do we have here??? It is STUNNING to see the threads
which are encouraging the THEFT & DISTRIBUTION of NBC's PROPERTY.
NBC worked HARD on that show!
They deserve, not only to be credited, but to BE PAID FOR THAT SHOW.
Now, if you were one of the Lucky Ones, who actually sat in front
of the Television on Tuesday Night, and watched the show in Real Time,
as it was aired in primetime, and sat through the mandatory commercials
which helped NBC to PAY FOR THE PRODUCTION of that Dateline piece on jWs...
then you and ONLY YOU ALL were entitled to see that show, for FREE-
(but the sponsors hope you go out and buy the products they advertised)
You DID NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO TAPE that Dateline show on VideoCassetteTapeRecorder!
If you did that, DESTROY your tape, IMMEDIATELY!
That was ILLEGAL, if you did that.
You "LIFTED" (STOLE)(You are a THIEF!) that Dateline show if you taped it.
You cannot DISTRIBUTE that NBC Intellectual Property to others,
even though your intent is to Sincerely Help Others To Be Informed...
and you certainly cannot ACCEPT MONIES for that PIRATED TAPE!!!!!

of getting a 12th-Generation-Copy of that Dateline show - VIDEO or TRANSCRIPT -
and actually putting it up, or some of it up, on YOUR OWN WEBPAGE,
in order to FREELY SHARE that INFORMATION to alert and help others!

Now, yesterday I LEARNED MY LESSON! Yes, I did!
A Litigious Entity named "Diane Wilson" flew into my emailbox,
and threatened me, called me a thief, said I faced consequences
for my actions, hinted at a lawsuit and ended by giving me an ULTIMATUM...
all, because, for three years, I had made and uploaded a webpage
from information given to me by an anonymous source which dealt with
the Watchtower's changing view of how a woman should react if Raped,
and in THREE YEARS TIME, no one ever objected, in fact, just the opposite,
I was told the webpage was helpful to many who viewed it.
I never claimed credit for the information on the webpage.
Hell, half of it was direct quotes out of Watchtower literature,
and then some commentary on those quotes.
I credited an ANONYMOUS SOURCE. I never received PAYMENT?!?
I did it as A PUBLIC SERVICE FOR OTHERS, and paid out of my own pocket
for the Web Space to Display that "WTRape" to my ISP.
"Taking Credit" for anything I've ever put out on the Internet
has never been important to me. The ALL-IMPORTANT thing to me,
is that the information that can help others gets out,
and is distributed as widely as possible. Period.
Well, This Hard-Ass, named "Diane Wilson" sure set me straight yesterday.
She wants her CREDIT. She wants her MONEY. She wants to $ELL a Book.
She has a BIG EGO to feed, yessirree!

put up a thread about ORDERING THE TAPE DIRECT from NBC "Dateline"'s website.
OKAY! That way, they get PAID for the Fruits of Their Labours.

If you Did NOT watch Dateline as it was aired Tuesday night,
then you are out of luck, except if you order a PERSONAL COPY of the tape.
But ONLY YOU ALONE can View It.
No one ELSE paid any money to watch that tape the INDIVIDUAL ordered.
THEY have to PAY FOR and ORDER their OWN Copy of Dateline!

the person who Ordered and Paid For THEIR OWN personal copy
of the Dateline Show through the proper channels,
with all the right people getting PAID,
then that "owner" of the tape, can view the tape, ALONE, more than
one time. IOW, that ONE person has the right to view the tape
over and over if she or he wants to do so,
BUT NO ONE ELSE WHO DID NOT $$$-PAY-$$$ MONEY FOR THE TAPE or TRANSCRIPT
is entitled to view it!
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Now, I'm just as sorry as I can be if I'm 'raining on your parade plans',
but you know NOW, and even though your intent was to HELP OTHERS
by SHARING that tape with those who could REALLY BENEFIT by
seeing it, YOU CANNOT BREAK THE LAW & INFRINGE ON COPYRIGHT to do
what some of you, MANY of you are talking about doing.

The best you can hope for now, is to WAIT and see if "Dateline"
re-broadcasts the piece on jWs and the "pedophile paradise",
and be sitting Directly in Front of YOUR OWN TELEVISION set
to watch it as it is being aired, and be sure to watch the commercials, too!
