  I don't think it would matter if pedophilia was happening in the Free Masons, or the Boy Scouts, take your pick of orgs....any change in policy or creation of policy that leads to the protection of children is a good thing. I have no doubt the WT will live on in some form or another for a long time, and having come to that realization I would hope for "new light" over stagnating backwards policy any day. The total downfall of the WT is at best a delusion, which like in the case of this thread, gets projected on a majority of apostate minded thinkers/posters. That doesn't mean, of course, I endorse any letup of antagonizing JR and his asshole buddies.

  Good question Bathory, I understand what you're saying.

  My opinion is that if Bowen's speaking out about the silentlambs helps prevent the abuse of other children, or enables those abused to speak up without fear of being disfellowshipped for speaking up, then it has achieved its goal.

  Whether people choose to stay in the JWs is their business.

  Now, who's going to make a cause for all the children who die due to not having blood transfusions?

  This is my thoughts on the matter:

  1) If it cleans up the Borg...that is a good thing. I mean, I do not believe there is one "true religion" or that there is only one org. that is "Jehovah's Channel", so if it cleans up this org. than the r&f are better off for it.

  This leads into #2:

  2) I personally do not believe that this IS "Jehovah's only means of communication" and no matter how cleaned up it is...THEY STILL CANNOT PROVE TO ME, because of their past, THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

  I don't care how clean they are...if they stand in judgement of ALL other religious org's yet still have the same problems then they are just as wrong. If they are as wrong as al of the other religions, then I choose to believe how I need to believe to bring me closer to God. I do not need anyone here on earth to make decisions on my life/death that are mere humans. Remember the Bible says that only God/Jesus can judge/read your heart.

  From my perspectives, if God WERE to have only one religion, at this most critical of all times in human history it would be more "perfect." At least a lot clearer. And I believe that a religion that would be right for me would focus on teachings for how to live life to please God rather than blasting everyone from the average "worldly" person to the religions out there.

  If the Bible says that Jehovah is a God of love, and reads our hearts, in my opinion whatever it takes to bring you closer to him is the best way to live.
