Do you think the GB are sweating yet? For the moment they may claim 'military' but when China passes USA there as well, then a lot of their prophecies and interpretations get thrown out.

The country can't get richer unless most of it's people are getting richer, and they're not. Nor can the country stay free unless its ciitzens have the resources to be independent. And personal resources are declining for most Americans.

it has nothing to do with the size of a national economy. it has to do with the political influence and role in the world. Its obvious that the USA dominates the world and lead all initiatives.
China is not a big player on the international stage. No one is listening to the speeches of the chinese leader... people even dont know his name. Furthermore China does not want to play such a role on the international stage
China exceeds the US in international trade and is building high speed rail to connect the world. Their influence is there but less noisy than the US.
Militarily, the mainstream media needs to wake up. China is building countermeasures to major US weapons systems. They have anti-satellite ability and just tested their hypersonic missile this week past.
The US carrier fleet is obsolete in an all out war. The DF-21 "Carrier Killer" missile was tested in a Chinese desert. It's designed to come straight down on the deck and the Chinese can build a thousand of them for the price of one US carrier.
The M-1 tank may be obsolete because of the "Kornet" antitank weapon. The Aegis missile defense system may be overcome by new Russian jamming. The F-35 stealth jet is so expensive that Britain and Israel are balking at the price and the Chinese stole its plans and are building a much cheaper version.
There's more but I am amazed that military experts aren't expressing alarm over what's emerging. They seem overcome by the fact that the US spends so much more for defense and not asking, "what is that money actually buying?".

LOL.....bullshit. I must have missed this major news announcement. LOL The US/UK alliance is still the MAJOR player in world affairs.
China only has a major economy because the world uses them to make cheap crap to buy. Militarily China is still not up to par with the US/UK military. If any major confrontation took place China would be taking on both the US/UK military. China is only where it is at because they let the US/UK have military dominance, and don't waste lot's of money on supporting a worldwide military influence.
Anyone that knows Chinese people, is involved with the Chinese community, or works with Chinese people soon learns that being the #1 world power is the last thing on their mind. They are more than content to let the US/UK get involved in militarily policing the world, while they save money not being the world military police, and keep raking in the money selling the cheap crap they make.
