    On page 9, paragraph 7:

Neither a branch office nor the local congregation elders are authorized to make health-care decisions for a Witness, even if he asks what to do. (Gal. 6:5) They can, of course, call attention to what Jehovah has said that may have a bearing on the decision. For example, a Christian needs to remember the Biblical command “to keep abstaining from . . . blood.” (Acts 15:29) That would clearly rule out medical treatments that involve taking in whole blood or any of its four major components. This knowledge could even influence a Christian’s conscience when he makes a personal decision regarding minor fractions derived from one of those four components. * But what other Bible advice can guide us when we are contemplating medical treatment?

The Bible does not define what is a blood component. There is no such biblical difference between major and minor fractions. So, they are indeed ruling out medical treatments for Witnesses.

    On page 25, paragraph 11

Today, we are blessed with much knowledge of Jehovah’s works of creation and the outworking of his purpose. The world promotes higher education and advanced learning. Yet, the experience of many shows that pursuing such things often leads to loss of faith and loss of love for God.

What about those lawers the Watchtower uses for its defense? They studied in universities. How can the Watchtower run JW.ORG ?, it is because universities developed computers and optical fibers that required knowledge in programming, electromagnetism and condensed matter physics.

It's the same old story about the not requiring anyone to do anything yet disobeying their non-biblical edicts have consequences.

And of course the evil, evil universities and their incredible power to lure people away from slavery *cough, I mean God.

The opening sentence of that article make it clear that the branch office or congregation elders do not have the authority to make medica! Decisions for others.

This must mean that there are many that do including the governing body, the head office, a co and even the medical person appointed by the congregation, I can't remember their actual title.

    Who gave them that authority?

    OF COURSE!

    What a dumb comment!

KNOWLEDGE and EDUCATION mean that people are not as easily mislead by cult-like groups and fantasy doctrines!

So they start off with the disclaimer, then go ahead and contradict the 1st statement! Looks to me like a way of avoiding law suits! Tricky language.

If you haven`t received some form of higher education , how would you know what the four major components of blood are ?

How could a Jehovah Witness with only a basic education ,not a higher education , which is frowned on by the J.W. organization know what is a blood component and what is a fraction of blood ,? let alone identifying which is which,. how would he/she know anything about minor fractions derived from one of the four components of blood.? Without a higher education ?

It becomes obvious that these people are pawns , manipulated by a organization that is only interested in it`s own survival .With it`s own agenda.

The pawns are the rank and file Jehovah Witnesses led by the carrot of a promised new system ,a paradise earth ,that is always just around the corner , ......for the past 140 years.

The Watchtower is doing an unscientific distinction between blood forbidden components and its minor fractions. For instance they classify albumin as a minor fraction, but albumin constitutes a far greater percentage of blood volume than do the forbidden components – white blood cells and platelets.

What many do not realize is that the faith of those students has been lost before going to University, not because. If it had not, they would have avoided University in the first place, trusting that Jehovah would make a way for them through an alternative path.
