I thought I would share an article about the development of trichromatic colour vision and how a study of the differences in the genes responsible for production of the different opsin (light absorbing) proteins in old and new world monkeys found in the retina gives some insight into how colour may have evoled. I wonder if the Awake! will publish a synopsis of this work as part of it ambition to provide dubs with a university equivalent education?
