Saw the Everly Brothers, one of their last appearances together, with Simon and Garfunkel, who like the Beatles credited them with the sound they wanted in their music. They were in their 70s and still sounded great.

Paul McCartney honored the brothers with Wings Of A Nightingale.

I always liked this song since I first remembered hearing when I was around 8 years old. The music from the 50s were being played a lot back then after American Graffiti was released and my parents always had those records and tapes and I listened to them growing up. I was always impressed with the lead vocalist Arlene Smith of The Chantels. She didn't stay in the business but became a teacher instead. This song is 199 on Rolling Stones greatest songs of all time.
