In my experience, the more I've learned the more I've realized that I don't know anything. Since JWs have such an anti-education stance, it doesn't surprise me when I see them act like they know everything.
"I'm better than you.."
Indeed, the height of wisdom and understanding is to realize that your knowledge is limited. Because so many former Witnesses were denied access to higher education, there is a belief that a quick glance at the Internet is a substitute for years of in depth study. It was only when I practiced law that I realized I was limited. Partners love to assign work to lawyers who have a background in a subject. It saves time. I knew a narrow area in depth. Everyone had their specialties. I prayed that a generalist was coordinating the work.
The fish that got away, thank God. Be happy every day you dodged that fate.
