Jesus, that wonderful antisemitic person in the NT, started his own organized religion.

"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in yourselves" John 6:53.

    Anti-Semitic?

Somehow I thought Jesus was born a Jew, loved ordinary and downtrodden Jews, and took exception to those that were leading them astray (through religious legalism and moralism).

If you believe that Jesus instituted baptism and communion then I don't know how you can argue he ended organised religion.

Maybe organised religion co-opted and corrupted baptism and communion?

You have obviously never read the NT.

He was a Jew who was pasionate about the Law and taught his disciples to follow it to the letter. The early church was 100% Jewish in belief and practice.

Your myopic views are typical of modern western protestants.

Yes but he put an end to the law and warned the jews it was all coming to an end and it did in the 1st century

No Jew would proclaim himself God or commit to human sacrifice.

Cassuk, it's confusing that you post from 2 different usernames.

Fernando, of course this has sometimes happened, a bit of a generalisation though and could happen in small gatherings as much as church institutions.

But they also knew The Messiah was coming for hundreds of years. He kept the law and was the only one ever able to do so .So thus fulfilling it all and so making it obselte
