I really don't care what's on currency. Considering most of the US consists of christians, it's not really the worst idea to have "In God we Trust" on money.

    Who is "we"?

Millions of Americans are not superstitious.

Sadly, the election and, even more so, the reelection of President Obama has brought out the extreme faction of racists in this country. They also tend to be virulently religious and have taken the political discourse to the far right.

For the first time in my life, after hearing about people being fired from their jobs because they had Obama bumper stickers displayed on their vehicles, I have felt afraid to voice my support for a candidate. I equally feel unsafe stating that I am not religious. To state that you are an atheist would be to invite danger in some conservative quarters, like the area where I now live. Thus, the term agnostic is extremely useful in the US right now.

All because of racism towards the first black president.

"In God we trust" was adopted as the official motto of the United States in 1956 as an alternative or replacement to the unofficial motto of E pluribus unum, which was adopted when the Great Seal of the United States was created and adopted in 1782. [1] [2]

"In God we trust" first appeared on U.S. coins in 1864 [3] and has appeared on paper currency since 1957. [4] Somesecularists object to its use. [5]

It is also the motto of the U.S. state of Florida. Its Spanish equivalent, En Dios Confiamos, is the motto of the Republic of Nicaragua. [6] wiki

the US right now". I have never known personally a black Atheists.

If I came out to my family (JW's and Christians) that I'm a atheists,

they would try to have me committed...LOL
