    From paragraph 12

one brother began viewing pornography at the age of 12, and he continued to do so in secret for over a decade. He relates: “It was very hard to admit to my wife and to the el- ders what I’d been doing. But now that I have admitted it, I feel that a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders. Some of my friends were disappoint- ed when I was removed as a ministe- rial servant, as if I had let them down. Yet, I know that Jehovah is more pleased with my service now than when I was watching pornography, and his view is the one that really matters.”

So they admit they appointed him a ms while he was secretly sinning.

YEP! The Holy Spirit must have let that one slip by.

I noticed that this morning. I was trying to determine if I could use this as an example of the double standard of the society. If we point out an appointed mans faults we are talking against god but if the appointed man is not living up to the societies standards he was appointed by imperfect men who were guided by the bibles standards. What a bunch of crap.

First off: A publisher viewing pornography that is not 'abhorrent' is of no interest to the elders. Heck, they themselves probably watch regular porn.
Unless a person starts promoting porn or encourages others to watch it with him.

Second: A person persisting in this practice would not be considered as exemplary and thus would not qualify for special privileges in the congregation. However, they will not deal with it judicially.

    .

Unfortunately though, the minute an emotionally unstable person comes forward and involves the elders with it, this 5-point checklist has their minds already saying 'guilty':

    • Did he come forward voluntarily?
    • Was he ever counseled about viewing pornography?
    • If he is married and his wife is aware of his problem, what effect has this had on her?
    • Does he demonstrate an earnest desire to desist from viewing pornography?
    • Does his conscience allow him to continue serving in an appointed position?

Then they will turn on you in person, asking these drooling questions:

    • Did watching porn consist of a few brief incidents?
    • Was it a practice spanning many months, or even years?
    • What type of pornography did you look at?
    • Did you jerk off while watching it?
    • When was the last time you viewed porn?
    • Who else is aware of the problem?
    • Did you invite your partner to watch porn with you over popcorn and soda?
    • Do those knowing you look at porn still respect you?

    .

"Abhorrent" pornography, as per WTBTS definition:

    • sexually degrading
    • homosexuality
    • group sex
    • bestiality
    • sadistic torture
    • bondage
    • gang rape

Holy Spirit also appoints pedophiles, then makes sure WT runs interference for them to avoid being caught by the secular judicial system. Let's not forget that.

DD: The Holy Spirit must have let that one slip by

Either that or Holy Spirit didn't mind.

Or, there's a third option: Holy Spirit has nothing to do with this religion!

Andre gave it up at 22-plus years old -- he was already married and an ms?

Speaking about today's Watchtower did anyone notice how some of the paragraphs showed up the organization. The organization is guilty of not following some the very counsel it gave in some of the paragraphs.

It's acceptable...as long as the is GB doing it. Isn't it a nice arrangement?? WT lives by the axiom, "do as we say, not as we do".

With the new arrangement of COs appointing MSs and elders without getting the prayerful deliberation of the GB, nobody can blame the GB or holy ghost for such appointments of secret porn-viewers and apostates.
