If Jesus existed, then, if he was crucified around 30C.E, it was because he was perceived as a political threat in some way by the Romans.
They did not worry about foreign gods or foreign theological struggles and disputes, as long as there was no threat to Rome collecting her taxes, she would do nothing.
Only the Romans could crucify/execute, and they would only do so for the above reasons.
