I was getting up to go to my brothers's wife's funeral and I got a phone call that my best friend since youth had died. It seems death is all the news I get lately. It's about to make me so depressed. I guess when you get my age, if you don't die yourself all you will experience is the death of others you love and know.

I'm very sorry...I am getting up there in age and more and more people in my life are dying. I read the obits and almost every other day someone I knew is in there. What a gift to have enjoyed the friendship of someone that could be called a "best friend." Cherish that time.
