The following definition is approved by the American Marketing Association Board of Directors:

    Marketing:

Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. (Approved July 2013)

They have been pushing some "barrow" or another long before the shiny happy people were blessed with a literal one. With the J-HO sign on it.

In fact they should really embrace this and have "rapper" style trolleys with giant tyres, shag carpet and gold chains a few WT "ho's" hanging around chewing gum and filing their nails. ( BTW my apologies to respectable "ho's" everywhere).

    Yeah, that could work.

I expressed my dismay about pushing the website to an elder recently. He said it's a positive thing. "Jehovah is speeding it up," he said. "The nations shall know that I am Jehovah," he said. "No excuses." he said. I couldn't respond because I was so flabbergasted at that thought. The nations knowing about Jehovah is all about a war that Jehovah executes a whole lot of people, so much so that Israelites would be burying the dead for seven months. Unbelievable that they apply this to to the preaching work. Unbelievable.

I think that's impressive, an impressive display. The one

brother looks as if he just step out of a Wall street office.

The other couple, looks very dapper.

Let's think about this new approach, you wear your best

outfit, standing next to your fashionable stand. I would

rather get my hours in that kind of work.

It's no need to wear your Sunday to go meeting suits in the

door to door work. But this type of service, you can come decked out.

Makes you look very intelligent. Pluse you don't wear out your shoes. LOL

Thats some easy hours, much much easier than knocking on people's doors.

Is this more of an effective way to preach the word than calling on people's doors .... nope,

because there is no personal interaction.

You can bet the pioneers are loving it though.

Ironically from the WTS. once denouncing computers as distracting uselessness back in the 80's,

to now exploiting this technology to the fullest.

    Finkelstein,

A bro told me only the other day that an elder told him that if he refused to familiarise himself with the JW.ORG web site he would not progress in the truth.

So there is now a full blown effort to direct newly interested ones or already members to use the JW.org web

    site to the fullest extent.

Will the Watchtower and Awake name identity drop out of sight completely, I think it will as a assertive means to distance

    themselves from those known identities.

Nice convenient way to wash the corrupt lies and bullshit from the past.

Is it just me, or doesn't it seem idiotic to be using word of mouth, display tables and hardcopy publications distributed by brute force manpower to advertise an internet website? I mean, isn't the internet already itself the greatest advertising platform? It's as if they don't fully understand how to best utilize the technology that they already have so that they're still using paper thinking to make the most out of their internet asset. It's like a man with a smart phone still using a physical notepad to write down your name and telephone number so he can contact you in the future.

    Island Man,

Word of mouth and hard copies are still just phase one of the transition to online witnessing. The problem is at the moment there are still bro's and sis's still extremely suspicious of the internet mainly because of the successful demonising of it in the past. The elders need to tear down the walls that they themselves erected. The public however may or may not go to jw.org but they will also go to other sites like this one .
