Rutherford and those that followed him really put these ideas out like never before. Now, I doubt that you hear too much of the Greater (fill in the blank) Class.

Blondie should comment on this. I haven't heard much lately although I think the greater Cyrus is Jesus.

They may not hype those beliefs too much, but they still believe them. Remember that anointed JWs of the past are not the FDS. The "understanding" is that past anointed were part of a John the Baptist/forerunner class. So the still believe in types and anti-types.

"And Jehovah began bringing every bible account to the mind of Rutherford to see which ones he will use to CLASSify the Jehovah's Witnesses. And whatever class he used, that was the truth beyond question. But for Rutherford there was found no class. So Jehovah proceeded to take the parable in Matthew 24:45 and form an account out of it. And Jehovah proceeded to breathe the breath of literality into it and it became a real prophetic account. And Jehoavh proceeded to bring the account to Rutherford's mind and Rutherford exclaimed:

"This is at last glory of my glory and obedience to my every dictate! This one will be called 'the faithful and discreet slave class'" "

The JWs have lost their class, I guess---or did they ever have it?

There was a video by a young exJW missionary I saw that was linked here. The guy said that the type-antitype teachings were the in-depth biblical teachings @ Gilead. He went thru there not that long ago, so yes, they definitely still subscribe to this line of thinking. Perhaps they don't refer to it much in the very dumbed down magazines and books for the R&F any more (?).
