an idea just came to me and I wanted to propose it here. should ex JWs adopt the purple triangle as their own symbol? I think it would spread the message that the watchtower is behaving like the nazis. I havent decided if its a fair analogy. Any thoughts?

I see where you are coming from, but I don't think it would be appropriate. Plus it could disrespect the suffering of the people that had to endure what they had to endure.
Just my thought. I wouldn't do it.

Honestly, I think it's a bloody terrible idea. It may be witty but people died. Rightly or wrongly, they made a great sacrifice and showed enormous courage. It is a tragedy that they did so for such a stupid cause.
I for one won't be jumping on that band wagon.

What about the pink triangle of the LGBT community?

What about a continuous circle to represent circular reasoning. Within this cirlce an agreed upon symbol, something that most asleep dubs wouldn't know.

what about putting the tract "want to know more about the bible" in the jacket pocket, showing the caption, in the meeting for field service?
jws should learn more about the bible than wt teaches. (including that is NOT inspired or inspiring).
the purple try angle is just a cornered circle. and bought with blood.

Question: Why were the Bible Students (Jehovah's Witnesses) in Germany in Nazi prison camps?
Answer: Judge Rutherford told them to violate the law.
Question: On what basis would Rutherford demand they break the law, knowing full well this would risk lives?
Answer: Rutherford RE-interpreted (New Light) the meaning of Romans 13:1. In fact, he made it "mean" its own opposite!
Question: Weren't the German Bible Students simply being persecuted for preaching Truth against adversity?
Answer: No. They were allowed by German authority to get out of prison if they renounced Rutherford's books and anti-German propaganda.
Question: But, wouldn't renouncing the Society's books be the same thing as renouncing Jehovah?
Answer: No. The Society completely reversed it's "Truth"in 1962 which proves they had the 180 degreee opposite of Truth!
Question: Shouldn't we respect the Bible Student's stand even though they were misled into losing their freedom and, in some cases, their lives?
Answer: It is sad people were tricked into being martyrs for a misunderstanding and as a publicity stunt. I don't know if we can respect their
total gullibility, however. We mourn the loss of life and we decry the villain, Rutherford. But, we should think twice about celebrating a total lack
of skeptical caution in putting precious life at risk on the words of one mentally unhinged religious leader. Should we respect the citizens of Jonestown who willingly drank Kool-Aid and died of poison?

"Rutherford continually pressured the German Earnest Bible Students to ignore the bans Hitler was enforcing. The sect was already banned all over Germany. On June 28, the Magdeburg headquarters were again seized and much literature confiscated and publicly burned, mostly Rutherford’s own published writings.
Rutherford insisted German Witnesses hold a high profile and engage in banned public preaching campaigns leading to their arrest. Watchtower articles practically encouraged martyrdom. In the November 1, 1933 issue, printed a month later in German, Rutherford wrote:
“Some will say: ‘If in the face of so much persecution and opposition we continue to go out amongst the people and publicly tell these truths, then I fear we may be killed.’
That is true; and probably many of the faithful will be killed because they continue to faithfully proclaim the truth which they have learned in the secret place of the Most High.”34

34 Watchtower, November 1, 1933. p. 328What “truth” was Rutherford referencing here? Did it not consist of his own published interpretations of End of the World events in the light of Russell’s theology?
For what “truth” were they dying? Hubris was leading to Nemesis for every loyal reader of the Watchtower.
On June 24, 1936, State police and the Gestapo formed a special unit to fight the Watchtower movement. Through a number of arrests and infiltration, it succeeded in bringing the movement to a standstill in September 1937.
Nazi prison wardens offered immediate release to any Bible Student who renounced Rutherford’s propaganda.35
Of the 25,000 Witnesses and Earnest Bible Students in Germany, 13,400 spent at least some time serving prison sentences.
According to Gestapo files, more than half recanted. This was known as “swearing off.” German Branch Overseer, Paul Balzsereit, had tried in vain to discourage incautious publicity. For this he was disfellowshipped and scorned. Rutherford’s implacable attitude had cost many fine souls their lives for no other reason than his gamble with absolute certainty."

i do not think using the purple triangle would be like displaying a swastika. I feel like we would be taking the symbol back The way the LGBT community took back the pink triangle. Terry is showing that the watchtower has no right to that symbol since they are responsible for the JWs being in the concentration camps.

Yeah, but have we really suffered like people did in the concentration camps?? I think not. I vote for a Panda insidde of a circular reasoning picture. Nothing says awakened to the TTATT like Panda petting paradise. Maybe a Koala Bear riding on a Dolphin to Australia after the flood??
