his universal principles whicha re beneficial for all mankind.

What universal principles do you have in mind? As far as I am aware the Galilean carpenter never said anything original, and not everything he said was admirable.

Mankind does not accept the need of a Messiah so therefore reject him

We'll after 2,000 years of failed attempts to figure out what your god of paradoxes REALLY meant, and all the choas that went with along with that, people tend to eventually move on. Be thankful that you were not a medieval peasant subject to the whim of the church. It's no coincidence that the most progress and betterment of society has occured when people stop worrying about the imaginary Peeping Tom in the sky, and started living their own lives.

Elaine Pagels wrote what an utter failure John's Revelation was. The early church fathers wanted it suppressed. They saw it as an embarassment. Athanasius' force of will chamipioned Revelation. When it was canonized, Rome was supporting the Chrstian church. Bishops no longer had to hide from Rome. They were now princes with wordly power.

Prove your assertions. I would ask for proof from the Witnesses. You have not proved a single one of your assertions. So the early Christians were swept up into heaven. What eye witnesses write of this miracle? It is not a routine human event for bodies to go zooming up to heaven,

Except in times of distress you will call upon the peeping tom in the sky right or when your life is indanger. Of course you say never. But in days of distress when there is no way out you will.

Why are all the crazy Christian fundamentalists on this site incapable of using correct English? Or operating a spelling checker?

There is always a way out in days of distress upon each one of us. The New Covenant. Id for everyone of us to enter into the spiritual arrangement, meaning The KIngdom is within you, he waits unitl you enter into him. It is not fleshly, cannot be seenor made with brick and mortar.

There is no there. . .there.

The scriptures are pretty clear on one thing; Jesus' apostles and disciples expected events which did not occur.

Christianity secularized as a result of the "no-show" by a return of Christ.

If a two THOUSAND YEAR empty chair doesn't convince anybody how totally wrong all this nonsense is--nothing will every convince them.

Waiting on a bus that never arrives is a bloody waste of your time, energy and ambition to create a better life for yourself.

Your mileage may vary. Whatever floats your boat, of course.

He did in fact coem back for them. The historical record of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 AD fulfilled exactly as Messiah said some 40 years previously. The return of Messiah was spiritual he came back for them just as he promised in that generation.
