I cannot set foot in that toxic environment again, it's awful. But my son will be going tonight and I have noticed in the KM They will be promoting children to go canvassing for the GB at the meeting with a nice demo of a cute UBP and a parent in "good standing" yuck! vomit!

Lesson 26 and 27 make me wanna puke too, so I had to stop and write a review to let off some steam. Lesson 26 is about wanting cleaning and maintenance slaves for KHs, but no schedule is done to maintain the home of elderly JWs who slave away for the "kingdumb" all their houses are in disrepair, makes me sick.

Lesson 27 that has me fuming. Steam comming out my ears. Use the library in the KH to do more research, but only what they tell you. No one is allowed to read FM by Rutherford. They emphasise recent publications. what nonsense, it's a lie. Reasearch is not allowed.

Well I can continue now that I have got that off my chest, back to the books now. Blaghhh

Wow!!! I am livid now.

On page 82, of the Organisation Book, that is not on jw.org it states............

"Although primarily parents are responsible for their own children, others in the congregation may wish to help young ones who are motivatedin the Kingdom preaching work"

Others like who? I don't want some paedo grooming my son thanks. We are not even told who is on jw.org sex offender list, their list has paedo's on it that the police don't know about. This direction is significantly harmful to vulnerable children and families who think they are doing best for their children. Completely unaware of the mishandling of child abuse in the WTBTS.

We need to know who are the paedophiles in the KHs our children attened. We want to protect our kids from them. This is a link to the scan, but if a techno guy can post it that would be nice too. Kate xx

As Laika said, prepare for your son's sake. Know your enemy; you have to be able to counteract the refuse being implanted in your son's mind, and reason with him exactly why it is false! On your other point, I recently stated to a few Witnesses that we are "encouraged" to spend as many hours on FS as possible, but how many hours in comparison do we spend visiting the sheep already in the fold????? Blank looks and awkward silence followed!

The sad truth is, that no matter where we go on this planet, we will be in a "toxic environment".

Even surfing the BBC website reveals that. They put out as world headlines something like, "Football manager resigns/sacked" or "Non-entity Glamour Puss marries non-entity TV personality". That's important to people????????

We can only use our personal judgment, principles and morals to help us endure and cope with whatever "environment" we are in. Otherwise, we have to find our own little desert island!

Sadly they only need his dad's permission, happily he is on restrictions and not allowed on the mino. It's been more than a year now, sadly this item might move his dad to get him back out and his restrctions removed. I am hoping not, he doesn't want to go on the mino, so it should be fine. I am concerned about others "encouraging" or shall I say groominghim at meetings.

back on topic, I told the TMS brother that many of the elders' reviews from the All Scripture book were simply re-reading or so closely following the word for word material that it was pitiful. I had already read the material at home and done a better job of it than the brothers who had the assignment! He sighed, agreed and said he'd discuss it with them.

but it never changed. The Bible review is a little better because they HAVE to put it together themselves. But some brothers can just go up there without a minute's preparation and waste 15 minutes without breaking a sweat.
