I didn't take on any, but my husband got his Masters degree when he was 45 he got his Ph.D. He did have a Science degree before becoming a dub though.

I started college the year after I left, 1997, after my divorce was final. I was 27. I had attended a PC support/repair vocational program the year prior to fill in some blanks where my experience was lacking and got a job in tech support. I'm a "technical support specialist" to this day, but with aspirations of completing my degree in anthropology, slowly but surely. I'm debating between teaching and eventually getting my MLS (Master of Library Science) eventually. If I go the latter route, I'll specialize in Social Sciences within the Information Science field, which could be interesting. We'll see what happens as it gets closer. Due to the fact that I have to fit this all in along with the full-time job now, instead of having gone when I was supposed to (LOL) I'm not even done with my first 62 credits yet, but I should have that done by the end of this year. :) Yay!

    Cheers,

I went to college, and now make great money at a job that has no dead end! I also went door to door and ended up at a dead end!

New Testament Greak course at university and Spanish course at university WHILE being a Witness. Does that count? Added to a university degree in German and Phonetics and Language History and Sociology before / when becoming a Witness.

Persuing English major, here. Cicero's treatise 'On Old Age' was encouraging in this respect, that the wealth of golden years is built on the industry of youth. The WTS robbed 2 decades from many of us, but those don't have to have been our best. We have more, and we can make them better: feed the mind every day. There's a chance we will shuffle off having become a better person *because* of the WTS' lessons, than we would have otherwise. This excuses absolutely nothing, but it is still something to ponder.
