With the big day approaching I thought of a "Valentines Day past" I thought I would share
My ex husband and I were still dating and it was our first Valentines Day together, and the first I officially celebrated. And was very important to me. He came home as expected with flowers, wine, and he bought me a cake too. He was very sweet at one time. So he walks in the house sets it all down, plants a HUGE kiss on me, and I turn around to see the cake and it is beautiful! It has chocalate icing and pink frosting, but what it said brought tears to my eyes.
    Happy VD
Let's just say the rest of the night, didn't go as planned
Hope everyone has a Happy VD!(minus the burning:))

    Hi Wendy,
This is my first time writing on any forum, but I have been reading
many of your comments and they have been helpful. I appreciate the
comment about taking responsilbility for ourselves. That is very
hard work but what a wonderful reward. Talking things out with a
good listener helps esp. when the listener really does listen. They
don't even really need to say anything, just listen.

My world went upside down when my JW wife of many years asked me to move out. I am still a JW but after questioning the events of
the last year, including a legal divorce but not a scriptual one,
I have too many unanswered/incorrect answers to basic questions.
There is almost no one to really "talk" to as even those who are
walking a fine line are too afraid to admit their doubts.

I saw your comment on V. Day and was thinking of how many missed
opportunities just to relax, laugh, enjoy life and dear
sweet friends of the same ilk. not no mo'.

I had one good friend tell me "life can only be understood backward,
bbut can only be lived forward. FORWARD IT IS.

    Thanks for listening.

    Battman welcome
I have another one for you, I guess you have to see my little boy to appreciate it though. We were filling out papers for him to enter kindergarten. On the application there was a spot for you to put a nickname, So I asked him what his nickname was. First I had to explain what a nickname is. Well after I told him, he still didn't get it, sometimes my tongue gets in the way So I asked him,"What do you want your teacher to call you?"
Without any hesitation he said" Batman, Superman, or ANY of the Superhero friends"
Stop bye and chat anytime! I and the others here on the board are always willing to listen, we even give free advice too

    Hi Wendy,
Thanks for the personal insight. Now you can tell your
superhero you talked to the Battman. That is not a typo
as I am in the battery business. I live in South Florida
and sell batteries to clients in the Caribbean Basin. I
started a web site five years ago, in the beginning of time,
and you can see it at BatteryWeb.com. My two girls are
grown out and on their own so today like too many was
quite lonely. I worked on entering data into my website
for most of the day. Then I said to myself, self you better
get to work on that huge project called working on my life
and the future. So I started doing research and found this
    forum.

    Welcome Battman,

Next time I drive from Ohio to South Florida and my battery runs dead, I'll be sure to look you up.

As you can tell, I like to act silly, but I can be serious, and if anyone gives mommy a hard time, well I just go into a rant.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. I think you will find it to be a good one. Ask us anything you want, except for questions we can't answer, of course.

I will try not to ask ? that are unanswerable, tho sometimes I feel
that is my big problem. Patience Battman Patience. I also have
learned that when the student is ready the teacher appears.

    Humor is good!!

Way to go, battman! I love seeing folks take control of their lives and moving forward. This is a good community for Witnesses with questions, and ex-JWs alike to share and come together. Glad you found this forum.
