So I had what I thought was an interesting conversation this morning.

Elder: "Mother" sure is loving, and knows exactly how to care for us.

Me: "Mother"? Who are you referring to?

Elder: Well the organization of course.

Me: The organization? All over 7,000,000 of them? Or...

Elder: No. The Governing Body!

Me: Oh, I see. Well who is our father?

Elder: Jehovah! You know that!

Me: So the Governing Body is the Bride of Jehovah?

Elder: No, they are the Bride of Christ!

Me: So then Christ is our Father?

Elder: No! Jehovah is out Father, and...wait you've confused me!

Me: Well I guess you have some research to do. Let me know when you find out how the Governing Body can be our "mother", Jehovah is our Father, and His son Jesus is the bridegroom to the Governing Body, his fathers wife.

In the modern society where divorces and separations are daily bread this should not be difficult to understand. Father and mother used to be together, and got this child. Now they are separated. Father had a relation already before meeting the mother, thus having another child. For some reason this son from Father's first relation and spouse from second got interested in eachother and are now engaged. It is not at all difficult.
