yes Terry. Who needs witnesses when your opponents couldn't do a better job of giving you a bad name?! All the miserable prophetic mistakes, all the forcing of compliance with teachings and policies that were later changed anyway, all the keeping the flock busy, busy, busy and all the unending criticism of anything and everything that they disagree with. Such sad, sad vain fruitage.
If my children acted that way in my name, I'd disown them in a heartbeat.
Who knows that Jehovah did not disfellowshipp the loyal Watchtower Witnesses decades ago and is still refusing to acknowledge or speak to them?

How many times have we heard from JWs that they are "vindicating Jehova's name" or "Defending his name". This of course is said without meditating on it for a second.
As if the the most powerful being in the universe needs humans to do this. I watched a documentary the other day about the size of the universe and this subject came to mind.
I thought of Jehovah as a man sitting on a beach. Each grain of sand was a galaxy. Then believing that a speck of dust sitting on one of the grains of sand was essential to defending the man in any way.
Yes indeed: I have often thought that pure, naked pride prevented the Watchtower from openly acknowledging that "Jehovah" was a Medieval bastardized English "take" on the Biblical name of God and that other more recent renderings were likely closer to the Hebrew tetragrammaton (hope spelling's correct ).
Even though the Witnesses pay lip service to Yahweh being a closer rendering, their refusal to amend their own name smacks of pride - which is a hallmark of people who insist they "have" the truth and dare not do anything to suggest there may be other sources of truth - which would happen if they altered their name to be a more "truthful" rendering of YHWH. Oh, the institutional folly of compartmentalizing "truth"!
