Yep! They DID slip in the words Governing Body in the new revised NWT!
Page 1459, in the highlights of Acts 15!

    I knew it!

    Well spotted!

And what do you bet that with time, that 'governing body' phrase will eventually make it's way into the Book of Acts itself? That's the warm-up, getting people used to the idea, and then once it's accepted it's a matter of simply taking the next step. It happens so slowly, though, that few notice it is happening (like plate tectonics).

But not in the search results for JW Library, even though it's there. Must not have included the outlines in the search results.

i noticed the footnote for Colossians 1:26 has changed.

used to *system of things" and ref 'orders of things'. Now it says "past ages"

    Col 1:26

    the sacred secreta that was

hidden from the past systems of

thingsb and from the past generations.

But now it has been revealed

    to his holy ones 27

not exactly life alterning but I thought that was curious....

perhaps this is an acknowledgemnt of how far Freddie stretched his translation to cement the Watchtower language into R&F's heads

now that the job is done, lets remove the masonic-esque terms and just put down what actual scholars agree on

I missed that finding but that is a good catch.

They have slowly but surely demonized any questioning as apostasy; they have self-appointed themselves as mediators between Christ and the sheep; and now the allegeance of the R&F is to them rather that Jesus. All the classic makings of cult mind-control.

They're good... as long as one is intellectually lazy and seeking confirmation bias.
