This is a good place to start if you are wondering what the 'watchtower education' missed out on...

Make a mug of coffee, put your feet up and prepare to have your mind blown...

    Thank you Snare&Racket,

Wow! I did not know the Earth was 13.72 billion years old! Or that we are looking out at (mega telescopes are) 400 billion Galaxies.

When the physicist mentioned that in 1929, it was an already proven fact that the Earth was older than a billion years,

it made me think what a rinky-dink uneducated man-made religion I had emotionally attached myself to, not intelligently attached,

because there is nothing intelligent about the Jehovah's Witnesses religion.

Thankfully my brain did kick in when I read Ray Franz's book Crisis of Conscience, and that was the door that led me out,

to the beautiful fresh air of freedom.

Thank you for the suggestion to watch a 1 hour discourse, that was more enlightening, than any District Convention or 1 hour Special talk.

Pretty amazing stuff hey lois, you are more than welcome, i am so happy and excited that you watched it and enjoyed it. Such information should be shown on every tv channel all the time, reality is far more beautiful than the guessing or myth of many religions.

It is astounding stuff. If you told a JW we had weighed the universe, discovered dark energy, found the field responsible for mass in a universe made from nothing , photographed the big bang, predicted the end of the universe, established the shape of the universe and now found a plausible explination for the start of the universe without the need for a god.... They would assume it all either untrue or worse a ploy of satan.... Thats if the understood.

However they would be quite wrong and depressingly behind the times....

For those that really enjoyed watching it, here is the discussion and debate that followed that stunning lecture, it proves to be just as educational and entertaining.

Thanks I'm watching the debate now.

I love the unapologetic way Krauss deals with the "mental masturbation" of the philosopher and theologians on the panel.
