God gets to "talk the talk."

He doesn't have to "walk the walk" because he doesn't have feet.

Ah, Nathan, how do you know God doesn't have feet? Jesus had feet, and is said to be in the "express image" of the Father. Also, that man is in the image of God. The big question is, why would God have, or need, feet, hands, arms, hands, eyes and so forth?

All those who have purported to have seen God say He is, in form, like a man.

    Fascinating, eh?

A few things to think about....

    1. First have you ever heard the term, "tough love"? Some relative who is constantly asking for money because they are irresponsible and you bail them out everytime and they never learn, they just know you'll constantly back them up. At one point even though you can help them you don't, because the greatest help is them learning to be more responsible and to learn.

Kind of expand on this concept on a much greater scale and you may see there can be a reason for God having a partial hands off approach with the world right now. Or tell a kid not to touch a stove because it's hot but they don't understand that so they touch it anyway, then they learn.

    2. Luke 21:24 - "until the appointed times of the nations are fullfilled". Here it's flat out told there is a period of time when the nations rule.

Sure, EoM, tough love. You think the hundred thousand people killed in Syria have learned their lesson? They won't do that again will they?

We were made in Gods image right ? God, by direct and indirect means has been responsible for more bloodshed , human and animal, throughout history than mankind could ever shed , however being made in his image we do try .

transhuman68 - let's see what potential things the syria situation and many like it may be exposing/teaching.

    1. man is unfit to rule man

    2. power corrupts

    3. money and greed behind arms sales and wanting conflict to continue making money and getting power

    4. what people will do in the name of their religion/belief and those who don't agree

    5. hypocrisy on all sides

    6. in summary mankind in general is going to be so sick of having human rulers it will never be asked for again. Remember in the OT, when the Israelites keep asking for human leaders.

There are so many reasons and possibilities for why things are happening the way they are which in the end can turn out to being a good thing and or having been neccessary.

Every human will die, whether old age, war, etc. But the important thing is what happens after, and what happens after can answer why what is happening now was neccessary.

Yeah, that's probably what they said 2,000 years ago. We are living in the 'after', and there are no more answers than before. Can you see a pattern emerging here?

trans - no we are not. 1. the after may be death 2. on just the world/earth side, it was predicted that Jerusalem would be destroyed and the jews scattered worldwide. That happened exactly as predicted. Then it was foretold they would be gathered back together. For almost 2,000 years they were scattered then after WW2 they began to be gathered back together. WHat are the chances of that happening? How come only the Jews survived but the ancient egyptians, mayans, aztecs, and everything about their culture, etc, is long gone? Not only is it amazing after so long something foretold like that would happen, but that they even survived.

The only pattern I see is that what has been foretold has been slowly and accurately taking place.
