    1. How much contaminated water? gallons, liters, cubic feet per minute, ? How much?

    2. How contaminated is it? a trace? Does it glow in the dark?

The above link doesn't answer either question because, as the video admits, they don't know.

    Great hysterical headline though.

I almost forgot. I also peed in the Thames river after 3 pints of guiness.

Glander, good questions. Notice that you never see numbers attached to these articles because 1) the reporters don't undersand them, and 2) they usually don't support the hysterical headline used to pull in readers.

San Onofre is scary. I've surfed right in front of those reactors. The water is warm there, but I've never glowed after surfing there. Recent observations confirm that the area is also loaded with great white sharks, although I am not aware of any attacks having occurred there. A news story within the last year showed a guy go out on a paddleboard there, armed with a pole that had a gocam camera on it. He went out to where everyone was surfing, and put the camera in the water. Within 5 minutes, he had video of two great whites, both around 10 feet long.

Given the prevalence of white sharks there, I'm surprised there are no attacks. It could be that while swimming in radioactive water, the sharks lose appetite.

so they finally admited what was already known by anyone following the story? anyone with a shread of common sense knew that so much went under reported. i think the truth would probably cause mass panic. this is very bad.

144001- Had no idea Great White's swam in those waters, maybe there is enough tasty food they don't need to nibble on the surfers.

I was sad to hear 3 of the major beaches in San Clemente and Dana Point are the most polluted in the State.

A lot of work to do.

    Be afraid. Be very afraid...

...let me know how that works out for you

144001, designs, fakesmile. Good job of hyping the fear factor. The Great white sharks were hanging around because the had no appetite? You marine biologists are a smart bunch.

I heard that theres radioactive contaminated small see life as far south as Guam. I friend of my doctor that works for the Government went over there came back and told my doctor bad things. This situation is far worse than Chernobyl and according to the Gov worker will continue to be bad for another 25-35 years.

Hard to argue eyewitness facts like that...

you are absolutely right glander. we were all being alarmist conspiracy theorists. no worries right? there is more water in the ocean than radioactive runoff. nothing bad could happen. its not like it directly affects the human food chain. have an albacore tuna sandwich on me.

You do realize that EVERYTHING contains some radioactive material?

The relevant question is how much, which is why some of us keep asking for numbers.
